What's the booking process?
For weddings, we'll chat about your vision either on a consultation call or by email (I'm also down to meet in person if that's preferred). A non-refundable deposit and signed contract retains the date in my calendar. Yay! From there we can plan engagement sessions and other details!
For lifestyle, we can chat by email or call about the style of session you're looking for. I'll send an invoice to reflect payment and a deposit books you in officially!
I'm awkward! Will you guide me?
Yes! We're all just regular humans around here and I don't expect you to have any experience. Most of the photos you see in my portfolio are folks who felt just like you! I will direct and prompt you through your session while also allowing for space to keep you present and capture your authentic connections.
Where are you located/do you travel?
I live in St. Catharines, Ontario and grew up in Brantford so I'm there often as well. I am always honoured when you choose me as your photographer. I will travel anywhere! We'll discuss applicable mileage and accommodation fees to make it work.
Destination wedding? Cover the trip + logistics and my services are free!
Will there be a second shooter?
I frequently shoot solo and also offer the option of adding a second photographer for those who want full coverage of their wedding day.
A second shooter is helpful to have eyes in two places at once, getting those additional angles, and working a bigger crowd or longer day.
Can I extend the session on the day of?
On a wedding day, absolutely! I only schedule one event per day and your contract will outline the overtime rate.
For lifestyle session, maybe. I sometimes stack sessions and consultations on the same day if they're in the same location. It is best to decide in advance how much time you think you'll need if possible.
How long have you been shooting?
Since 2011 with a professional camera! Before that I always had a point and shoot film or digital camera in my hands capturing my personal life. I shot my first wedding in 2013!
